Over the next few days, Josh will be directing attention away from the Flyers, who are a bit painful to watch, by looking at potential draft targets for the Flyers this season.
4. Martin Necas
Coming in at number four is an interesting Czech Forward who may be the least likely to be available when the Flyers pick, Martin Necas. So far in the highest tier Czech League, he has six goals and seven assists, which is impressive for a kid just eighteen years of age. Necas had a solid World Junior tournament for the Czech Republic, tallying on goal and two assists in five games, identical to Pastrnak in his draft year.
Necas projects to be a top-6 center who is reliable on both sides of the puck, as well as being explosive offensively. A lot like Jake Voracek, he is known as a pass-first player who tends to overhandle the puck rather than making the simple play. Again, it is unlikely the flyers will finish low enough to snag him, but if he should fall, Hextall has a chance for another first round gem.
