Flyers Prospect of the Week
(stats up to date as of November 26)
This week’s top prospect: Tanner Laczynski
A sixth-round pick in last June’s draft, Tanner Laczynski is looking more and more like a steal after each passing game.
Laczynski has had a great season offensively with a talented Ohio State team, who have an impressive 8-1-4 record. He is averaging 1.38 points per game.
Laczynski went undrafted in 2015, even after good numbers in the USHL with the Chicago Steel and the Lincoln Stars. This year is his freshman year with Ohio State.
In his last 4 games, Laczynski has scored 2 goals and tallied 4 assists. He scored the game-winning goal in the third period to help Ohio State defeat Rensselaer in a game on November 19th.
The 19 year old has mostly played at right wing this season, but he has also played at center in a few contests.
Laczynski is making a strong case to represent Team USA at the upcoming World Juniors in December.
Tanner Laczynski’s Stats this Season with Ohio State: 13GP, 5g, 13a, 18pts, +14
