“I’ve enjoyed my time here and I wish the Flyers all the success in the world.” – Reese in statement through Flyers has no other comment.

Earlier it was announced that the Flyers and Jeff Reese have mutually parted ways so it wasn’t presented as just a cold-blooded firing
Reese has been the Flyers goaltending coach for almost 6 years and has coached the Flyers goalies in pretty successful seasons. Reese coached Bobrovsky into a top level starter, he helped Mason give his career a major turn-around and has been a major part of why the Flyers goaltending hasn’t been dreadful. Steve Mason obviously had a good relationship with Reese and is as confused by the move as most of us, if not more.
There is no other information on why the Flyers or Reese decided to go in separate directions and we can’t really make anything of it. We’ll probably never know for sure so it’s only right to make ridiculous guesses.
