The Philadelphia Flyers announced that they have signed forward Tyrell Goulbourne to a 3-year entry level contract.
Goulbourne was the Flyers 3rd round selection in the 2013 entry draft, 72nd overall. He is currently playing on the league leading Kelowna Rockets of the WHL where he has 17 goals and 21 assists this season.
Hockey’s Future has described his game as a player who “plays an abrasive style and uses his strength to advantage” and that he has “shown some scoring ability on one of junior hockey’s highest scoring teams”.
Look for Goulbourne to possibly join the Lehigh Valley Phantoms at the end of the WHL playoffs, and then start next season either in the AHL on the Phantoms, or with the Reading Royals in the ECHL
