Petr Straka to Debut

After learning that they would be without Michael Raffl for tonight’s game, the Flyers recalled forward Petr Straka from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. The former 2nd round pick (CBJ-2010) was signed as a free agent back in 2013. In his first season in the AHL in 2013-2014 season where he put up 27 points (9 goals) in 60 games. So far this season he has 17 points (11 goals) in 39 games for the Phantoms.

Ryan White will also be making his Flyers debut tonight on the “second line” with Wayne Simmonds. White played 52 games with the Montreal Canadiens last season where he put up 2 goals and 4 assists. He’s played 141 career NHL games where he has a total of 17 points.

If all goes according to plan, here are the lines for tonight’s game.

Schenn – Giroux – Voracek

Straka – White – Simmonds

Umberger – Couturier – Read

VandeVelde – Bellemare – Lecavalier

We know how Berube is with staying consistent with his lines however, so who knows how long it will be until the lines get shuffled. Steve Mason has also returned to the lineup, but only as a backup tonight while Ray Emery is starting.
